Disney Cruise Spa Must Do: the Rainforest

March 31, 2017 by Sherry Boswell

My guilty pleasure on a Disney cruise? Getting a Rainforest Pass at the Senses Spa, which is really a steal! The pass gives you unlimited entry to the scented showers, aroma steam, sauna rooms, private jacuzzi, and the coveted warm loungers, an area off limits to other spa guests. Whether a 1-Day pass or the length of your sailing, the Rainforest Pass sets guests on a sail for serenity and calm as part of their Senses Spa and Salon experience.

Disney Cruise Spa | The Rain Forest room is a must do on Disney Cruise Line

Ever notice that “SPA” it is phonetically spelled Sp-AAAHH? How appropriate! Enjoying the spa is one of the most relaxing activities you can find on Disney Cruise Line. I have a new favorite spa selection: the Rainforest, a members-only access area with jacuzzis, heated loungers, sauna, and showers. Makes you feel like a spa VIP and a surefire way to chill after an excursion-filled day. Here are all the details about the Rainforest and why it’s my Disney Cruise Line splurge.

The Rainforest on Disney Cruise Line

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news? Disney Cruise Line has a Senses Spa on all four of its ships, including a Rainforest. Score! The bad news: there are a limited number of these passes available, so if you want one, jump all over it! Best time would be before the Senses Spa Open House because they will be hyping the Rainforest amenities and are sure to sell out.

The Rainforest is not detailed on the Disney Cruise Line website, so many first time cruisers and even those who have cruised Disney before might not even know about it. That is why I find it is my civic cruising duty to tell you how awesome it is!

For pre-planner types, you can pre-purchase a day pass online while available for $ 16 a day. However, I highly recommend a length of cruise pass because it will encourage you to slow down and unwind.

Tip: Get a Rainforest Room pass on the very first day of your cruise because there are a limited number and they WILL sell out. In hindsight, I can say that I liked it even better than  a single spa treatment. Probably because I could spread it out over several days instead of a few hours.

Part of the Senses Spa, the Rainforest is a must do on Disney Cruise Line. Entrance fountain sets the tone for relaxation. Pure bliss! Day passes and length of cruise passes available on all 4 Disney cruise ships, the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wonder, and Disney Magic. #rainforest #disneycruise #sensesspa #disneycruiseline #spa

Disney Cruise Spa | Part of the Senses Spa, the Rain Forest is a must do on Disney Cruise Line. My favorite spot: the heated stone loungers, these on the Disney Dream.

Steam Hamam

Warm Sauna

Traditional Steam Room

2 Jacuzzis overlooking the ocean

Pricing

Single Pass:
3-Day Singles Pass – $69
4-Day Singles Pass – $101
7-Day Singles Pass – $ 144

Couples Pass:

3-Day Couples Pass – $102
4-Day Couples Pass – $144
7-Day Couples Pass – $ 193

Tip: Instead of paying individually, girlfriends should go in together and take advantage of the couples rate to save even more money!

Summary: The Rain Forest pass is ideal for girlfriends who are planning on chatting together while they lounge. I ended up using the showers at the spa more than in our cabin, which was preferable to me because the spa showers are much bigger and more luxurious when paired with the sauna/steam room/jets.

Disney Cruise Spa | Part of the Senses Spa, the Rain Forest is a must do on Disney Cruise Line. Showers in the main area of the spa are excellent spot to get ready for the cruise activities.

My favorite spot had to be the hot stone loungers. I could have stayed on those all day!
