Wow! Disney Social Media Moms Celebration rolls out the red carpet, let me tell ya. I had heard tales of prior #DisneySMMC conferences and thought: “I would love to experience that firsthand if I ever get the chance!” Well, my Fairy Godmother must have been listening because I did receive an invite and have been blessed to attend with my family alongside on this journey. But I want to take you along as well, so “come on everybody, here we gooooo!”
Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2015
Registration
I knew we were in store for wonderful surprises and lots of Disney pixie dust at registration when we could get photos made with Mickey-SCORE!
Opening Reception and Welcome Family Dinner
From our kickoff reception that launched right into the Welcome Family Dinner sponsored by Disney Citizenship, my mouth was hitting the floor! Let me paint the scene for you: delicious food, animation, screens with inspiring quotes, DJ and dance floor, and liquid nitrogen popcorn…this party had it ALL!
The highlights for me were the caricature artists and special character meets. Um, hello, can we say Sorcerer Mickey, Rapunzel, Hiro and Baymax?
Three fabulous artists from myDigiToon.com worked tirelessly for several HOURS to make caricatures for those of us lucky enough to get them. Definitely a wonderful souvenir, let me tell you! I LOVE my caricature-maybe I can use it as a headshot?
IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party
But the fun didn’t stop there, no sir! The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration planners had even more tricks up their sleeves! Then we ambled over to the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party and stuffed ourselves all over again. Only this time, the delicacies were of the SWEET variety. My personal favorite: macarons! We had specialty glasses for Illuminations viewing where lights and fireworks were magically transformed into hidden Mickeys! The oohs and aahs were flying!
Talk about setting the bar super high. What a dream first day-and the conference hasn’t even started yet! I wonder what’s in store next!!!

Disclaimer: Disney invited me to Orlando to attend this wonderful event. My expenses have been discounted and I have received some goodies, but all opinions are always 100% my own. Scout’s honor!
